Directions:
Shady Characters is conveniently located off of Interstate-20 at Exit #29. The nursery is just 1000 yards south of I-20 on Wire Road.
Hours:
Shady Characters is a family owned business. When you call, you are dealing with the owners who care about plants, not employees just putting in their hours. However, since there are no employees, there are times when the nursery is not open to customers. During the spring season, Shady Characters participates as a vendor at several garden festivals. During those festivals there may not be anyone at the nursery to assist you. Therefore, please call first before visiting.
Through June 20, Shady Characters will be open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 until 5:00 except for June 11, 12 and 19 when we will be closed to attend trade shows and horticultural seminars.
